from FBI Thriller ON THE COUNT OF THREE </strong></p>
<p
style="text-align: justify;">Article Written by Carolyn
Arnold</p>
<p
style="text-align: justify;">There’s something that inspires every book an author
writes. When it came to <em>On the Count of
Three</em>, I’m not sure if it was one thing or more than
that. Every time I set out to write a Brandon Fisher novel, I endeavor to come
up with a serial murder investigation that will not only intrigue readers but
also creep them out. After all, getting inside the minds of serial killers is a
dark place and should have people sleeping with one eye open—or not sleeping at all!</p>
<p
style="text-align: justify;">In addition to the plot itself, I
strive to ensure my characters are not only relatable but pinchable. They need
to feel so real to the reader that they can feel their breath on their face.
When characters are in danger, the reader should be on the edge of their seat
gasping, wondering if they’re
going to come out of this alive.</p>
<p
style="text-align: justify;">Reviewers have often said about books
in the Brandon Fisher FBI series that they made them feel like they were
involved with the investigation alongside the FBI. Feedback like this makes my
soul sing because it means I did my job as an author. I want to make sure that
my books let readers escape their realities and dive into the world and
situations I’ve
created.</p>
<p
style="text-align: justify;">And no story would be complete
without a theme that runs through the story. In <em>On
the Count of Three</em>, I stress how there are
consequences to our actions—some
we’d never imagine and are far more
reaching. It also shows that our choices and actions affect people we don’t even
know.</p>
<p
style="text-align: justify;"><em>On
the Count of Three </em>takes readers to Miami,
Florida, where it seems a serial killer is targeting people who have already
served time for DUI vehicular homicide. As far as the victims were concerned, they’d paid their debt
to society, but they couldn’t be more
wrong. I hope to shock readers with the killer’s true motive and drive in doing what they
do.</p>
<p
style="text-align: justify;">In this book, I take readers into the
mind of the killer. They’ll
have a front-row seat to their thoughts and watch as they unravel as the
investigation continues.</p>
<p
style="text-align: justify;">I invite you to download a copy of
<em>On the Count of Three</em> or order it in paperback or hardcover from your
favorite retailer. But be warned: this book isn’t for the faint of heart.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>On the Count of Three </u></em><u>Book
Overview:</u></strong></p>
<p><em>Drinking and driving may be deadly in more ways than one…</em></p>
<p
style="text-align: justify;">When a woman’s disappearance ticks off all the same boxes as
two unsolved murders, Miami homicide detective Kelly Marsh is convinced there’s about to be a third. If she’s right and the
killer sticks to their previous MO, she only has three days before Jenna Kelter’s decapitated head will show up somewhere
in the city. With no time to waste, Kelly reaches out to the one person she
knows can help: her former mentor and family friend Jack Harper, who just
happens to lead a team with the FBI’s
Behavioral Analysis Unit.</p>
<p
style="text-align: justify;">BAU special agent and profiler
Brandon Fisher easily sees the similarities between Detective Marsh’s missing person
case and the two cold cases: all three victims served time for DUI vehicular
homicide and disappeared three days after being released from prison. But is
that enough to assume Kelter has been abducted by a serial killer? Brandon’s not so sure
and fears his boss may have let his personal connection to Marsh cloud his
judgment. Surely there isn’t
any other explanation for why they jumped into an investigation less than
twenty-four hours after Kelter was reported missing. Then again, maybe Brandon
is letting his own differences with the detective affect his perspective. He’ll need to move past
it, though—and quickly.</p>
<p
style="text-align: justify;">After all, this killer has evaded
capture for the past six years, and they may be looking at a lot more victims
than originally suspected. This serial killer is calling the shots and pulling
them into a macabre game of cat and mouse. While the team has no choice but to
play, if they don’t
make the right moves, one of them may not make it out of Miami alive. </p>
<p style="text-align:
justify;"><em>On the Count of Three
</em>is available in e-book, paperback, and
hardcover. Coming soon to audiobook. Readers can pick up a copy from their
favorite retailer or request from their local libraries.</p>
