Every book I write challenges me in some way. With Three Girls Gone, I had to strike a delicate balance between painting the horror of what the killer was doing without making it graphic. That meant providing just enough detail so the reader grasped the depravity of the killer without being subject to it playing out on the page.
In this story, young girls are the victims, and it brings up a cold case that hits close to home for Detective Amanda Steele’s friend and former police sergeant.
